14.840 MOLDOVAN LEU FOR A CERTIFICATE OF RECRUIT CCECC officers caught in the act a citizen of Soroca being suspected of influence peddling, yesterday afternoon. The suspect would have extorted and received from a young man from Chisinau MDL 14.840, claiming to have influence on officials of the Military Commissariat to issue a certificate of recruit on his name. The amount of MDL 14.840 marked "bribe CCECC" was found on the suspect and was handed over voluntary. He is investigated at large now. If found guilty, he faces a fine penalty from 1000 to 3000 conventional units or imprisonment for a term of 2 to 6 years.
