| Regional Conference on "Sharing Experience in Fighting Corruption", November 24-25, 2009 - Prishtina, Kosovo |
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency co-organized a Regional Conference on "Sharing Experience in Fighting Corruption" on November 24-25, 2009, in Prishtina, Kosovo. The event focused mainly on Declaration of Assets and Conflict of Interest issues. It brought together practitioners from Albania, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia and Turkey, as well as representatives of the international community engaged with the fight against corruption. Having two-day intensive discussions, the experts came out with concrete references for future developments in the area of Declaration of Assets and Conflict of Interest. The representatives of RAI Secretariat - Mr. Edmond Dunga and Mr. Stanislav Aleksandrov, who attended this event, presented to the participants the idea of a creation of informal network of practitioners in this specific area for SEE countries with the support of Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI) Secretariat. The experts from South-East European countries generally approved and supported the idea. It was agreed to launch the network in 2010.
