SPAI Regional thematic event - March 29-30, 2006 - Podgorica, Montenegro

Based on a request of the Montenegrin SPAI senior representative and State Auditors Institution from Montenegro, SPAI RSLO organized a regional thematic event in Podgorica, Montenegro, March 29 -30, 2006. The International Conference of the Supreme Audit Institutions of Central and South Eastern Europe had as main topic "The Role of Supreme Audit Institutions in Preventing Corruption". Co-organisers: State Auditors Institution of the Republic of Montenegro, GTZ and OSCE Mission to Serbia and Montenegro/Office in Podgorica.

 

SPAI National thematic event - February 15-16, 2006 - Podgorica, Montenegro

Based on a request of the Montenegrin SPAI senior representative and Directorate for Anticorruption Initiative from Montenegro, SPAI RSLO organized a national thematic event in Podgorica, Montenegro, February 15-16, 2006. The main topic of the Conference was the Implementation and Incorporation of the UN Convention against Corruption into Montenegrin Legislation. Co-organisers: The Directorate for Anti-corruption Initiative of the Republic of Montenegro, OSCE Mission to Serbia and Montenegro/Office in Podgorica and United Nations Development Programme/LO in Podgorica.

Regional Conference on Efficient Implementation of European Standards in Public Procurement: Legislative Framework and Best Practices - September 23-24, 2005 - Becici, Montenegro

During September 24 and 25th, SPAI RSLO, in cooperation with OSCE Mission in Serbia and Montenegro, Office in Podgorica and the Public Procurement Commission from Montenegro, organized in Montenegro a Regional Conference on Efficient Implementation of European Standards in Public Procurement: Legislative Framework and Best Practices. The meeting was formally opened by Mr. Miroslav Ivanisevic, Deputy Prime Minister, Republic of Montenegro. Also, keynote speeches were addressed by Ambassador Paraschieva Badescu, Head of the OSCE Office in Podgorica, Deputy Head of OSCE Mission to Serbia and Montenegro, Dr. Ray Kirkland, Regional Director, USAID, Veselin Sukovic, Executive Secretary, SPAI RSLO and Marko Lazarevic, President of Public Procurement Commission of the Republic of Montenegro.

SPAI RSLO’s Regional Tour - February 24-25, 2005 - Podgorica, Montenegro

During February and March 2005, SPAI RSLO team conducted a regional tour which involved all SPAI member countries. On February 24 - 25, SPAI RSLO's representatives, Mr. Veselin Sukovic, Executive Secretary, and Mr. Cornel - Virgiliu Calinescu, Anticorruption Expert reached the 7th and the last destination of the regional tour, Podgorica, Montenegro. During the two days visit SPAI RSLO had a series of bilateral meetings and public debates with public authorities involved in the fight against corruption, NGOs, civil society and mass media.

Anti Money Loundering Seminar - October 26, 2004 - Podgorica, Montenegro

On October 26th, SPAI RSLO Executive Secretary attended an international seminar on Figting Money Laundering. The main topic addressed during the Seminar was the institutional framwork for fighing the money laundering phenomenon. SPAI RSLO Executive Secretary delievered a presentation on the role of RSLO as a regional resource center and highlighted the potential cooperation among the FIUs in the region with specialised anticorruption bodies. The Montenegrin authorites presented the Finance Inteligence Units (FIU) its structure, activities and the international cooperation.
