While enforcement of the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act remains a critical standard by which to develop anti-corruption compliance programmes, the UK Bribery Act has reformed the criminal law to provide a new, modern and comprehensive scheme of bribery offences. The new Act will enable courts and prosecutors to respond more effectively to bribery at home or abroad.
