Countering Corruption in SEE Conference, Bucharest, Romania, May 3-4, 2007. PDF Print E-mail

Another opportunity for assessing status of national anticorruption strategies adopted by the SEE countries was offered by the SEE Counter Corruption Regional Conference, identifying the best practices and lessons learned in following key areas:  role of law enforcement agencies and the judiciary, impact of corruption prevention measures, raising awareness, promoting transparency, and building the partnership with the civil society. The event was organized in full cooperation with the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies.

Memorandum of Understanding – Signatory Ceremony, Zagreb, Croatia, April 13, 2007. PDF Print E-mail

More regional involvement of SPAI countries in the fight against corruption was demonstrated by their agreement to sign the Memorandum of Understanding Concerning Cooperation in Fighting Corruption Through the South Eastern European Anti-Corruption Initiative at SEECP meeting on April 13, 2007 in Zagreb, the Republic of Croatia, according to which the countries commit to provide financial sustainability of the Stability Pact Anticorruption Initiative Regional Secretariat Liaison Office.

OSCE-SPAI RSLO Regional Conference in Preventing Corruption, Tirana, Albania, April 3-4, 2007. PDF Print E-mail

The focus of this event consisted of discussing the current status of implementation of the preventive measures of the United Nations Conventions against Corruption (UNCAC), and served as an excellent opportunity for the representatives of SPAI countries to discuss the lessons learned and best practices in the area of preventing corruption.

Friends of the Chair Meeting, Brussels, Belgium, February 23, 2007. PDF Print E-mail

Under the coordination of the SPAI Chairman and with the support of the WT III coordinator expert, SPAI RSLO is organizing in Brussels, on January 23rd, the Friends of the SPAI Chair meeting. The meeting will bring together potential donors for SPAI programmatic activities and will focus mainly on reviewing the package of project proposals developed by SPAI RSLO based on the objectives set within the Work plan for 2006 - 2007.
